Luxury Mountain Cabins

Have you ever thought of just getting away from it all and heading up to the mountains to live in isolation? Well you can do that and not sacrifice all the luxuries of home.

Up near the Red Lodge ski resort there is a place where you can build an incredible “cabin” that looks more like an estate right in the mountains along with  all the nature and wildlife. There is even a stream that runs right by the properties that is full of trout.

This won’t come cheap but if you have the financial means to build a rustic castle in the wilderness, this development at Red lodge is worth checking out.

Why Live in Central Montana?

With a population of just over 100,000, Billings, Montana is the largest city in the state. This makes it a great place to live if you are in search of job opportunities or business opportunities that you will create for yourself, as you have both the potential customer base and the market that you need. Billings is located in Yellowstone County and it was formed as the railroad was constructed in the late 1800s, so much of the local area is still open with the natural beauty that you would expect in that county, and much of the draw of the city is its combination of urban convenience and peaceful seclusion. As you look for real estate in the area, you should know why this is the most popular place in Montana for people to move.

Natural Attractions It all starts with the wildlife, the landscape and the natural attractions. One place that draws hundreds of tourists a day is The Rimrocks, a series of rocky outcroppings rising up from the landscape. There are many hiking trails that you can use, a visitor’s center and so many places to take pictures that you will not be able to pose often enough. You could also check out the Pictograph Cave State Park. Some of the cave paintings are more than 2,000 years old, so this is an incredible look back in time.

Local Attractions As far as the city itself is concerned, there are many local attractions. Take Dehler Park, for example, which is one of the most beautiful ballparks in the country. There is nothing better than watching a baseball game under the summer sun. Billings, Montana has many things like this that you can do with your family. Other attractions include the Alberta Bair Theater for the Performing Arts, the The Moss Mansion and the Yellowstone Art Museum.

Excellent Restaurants If you are looking for great places to eat, Billings is your number one destination in Montana. Check out places like the Burger Dive for, as the name suggests, excellent hamburgers, or head over to Harper and Madison for lattes and a great lunch menu. Walker’s American Grill and Tapas Bar is a local favorite and a tourist hot spot at the same time, and can be a good place to go for a party or a get-together. The city also has plenty of staple chain restaurants, like Cracker Barrel and Texas Roadhouse, which is one of the huge advantages of moving to an urban center like Billings.

Getting to Know the Area If you do come to Billings, you will find that Montana truly is a state with all four seasons. The temperatures drop below freezing in the winter and everything is coated in a magical layer of snow for the Christmas season. In the summer, highs in the 70s make for perfect summer days of hiking, camping, watching baseball games or playing sports in the yard. You get to experience all of it, and there is never a dull moment.   Should You Move to Billings, Montana? As you look at real estate in Montana, you may find that much of the land outside of the city is too secluded for your taste. If so, you should know that Billings is the perfect size for a city. It offers all of the conveniences and modern amenities that you expect, but the population is not so large that you lose that small town charm. People are warm and friendly, but also driven and professional. You’ll love your new real estate if you choose Billings, Montana as your new home.
